Office by Day, Guest Bedroom by Night

This multi-functional room is a cheerful space for work and play. The daybed provides a comfy place to curl up and read a book while the bottom pulls out into a full sized bed for overnight guests.

Master Bedroom Surprise

Two of my favorite clients (my Mom and Dad) enlisted my help in giving their Master Bedroom a facelift. They already owned several beautiful pieces of traditional furniture which they loved but wanted to breathe new life into the space. My Mom chose to recover her love seat, ottoman, and chaise lounge in a white duck fabric and the curtain panels and coverlet were also white. This made a nice backdrop for many color scheme possibilities. She also decided on the headboard fabric that I had used in another client's Office and blue paint for the walls. So here we were with many decisions made but still no real direction. After going back and forth with a few ideas my Mom finally said "Just surprise me!" So that is what I did! I purchased all of the decorative accessories, area rug, artwork, and had the pillows and bed skirt made and traveled four hours with all of it and my husband and two kids in our SUV. (That was a fun drive!) It was Thanksgiving and after our big turkey dinner instead of taking a nap I got the room ready for the big reveal. It was so fun and my parents love it!

Transitional Living Room

These clients traded their formal Living Room for one with a casual but still classy look and feel. A unique mixture of pieces including a rustic wood ladder and console table, hand rolled iron coffee table, and sisal rug give this room an eclectic and layered look.

1950's Rancher Remodel

This client purchased a 1950's rancher so she could be down the street from her three beautiful Granddaughters. The house had three small Bedrooms which we converted to a large Master Suite with a guest Bedroom. We opened up the wall between the Kitchen and the Living Room to give a more open feel. With the idea of aging in place we expanded the Bathroom and added a stackable washer and dryer. All finishes and fixtures were replaced to create this beautifully updated space that serves my client's needs perfectly.

Flower Power

This little girl's dream room is an example that you don't need a large space to have a functional, adorable room. Shelves with rails attached to the bottom provide extra space to hang clothes while three roll out bins under the bed give a place for extra bedding and stuffed animals. The tent-like canopy and flower box are favorite features of this pint size princess.

Fun Powder Room Redo

We used the butterfly artwork these clients acquired on their travels as the inspiration for this design. A calming grey-blue paint color along with changing out the mirror and light fixture set the stage for the meaningful accents this family cherishes.

"With her help I quit stressing over what to do, and started making my house the respite it should be!"

"I recommend Bernadette Drew wholeheartedly! Her talent for design is evident in everything that she does, and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. I first discovered her blog Chic Spaces for Little Faces. I was continually impressed with her ability to combine colors and put together such fun, functional rooms for kids that looked like they belonged in a magazine. I decided to enlist her help with several aspects of my home. First, I had tons of family pictures and no idea how to display them. She helped me create a beautiful arrangement going up my stairs! Everyone who visits my home comments on it. I was also overwhelmed with how to update my old, oak kitchen, and she provided exactly the expertise needed. I now have a beautiful white kitchen that makes me happy EVERY DAY. She helped me select just the right gray (out of the millions of grays out there!), and the right fabrics for my window treatments and accents. In addition, she created several plans for our home office. It was so helpful to see the diagrams showing furniture arrangements. I cannot recommend her more highly.
